Lord Narasimha, an avatar of Vishnu, is revered as a powerful protector who embodies both ferocity and compassion. Manifesting in a unique half-lion, half-man form, he emerged to save his devotee Prahlada by vanquishing the demon Hiranyakashipu, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. Among his many forms, the Nava Narasimha refers to his nine manifestations, each representing different aspects of his divine power and grace: Ugra Narasimha, Krodha Narasimha, Vira Narasimha, Vilamba Narasimha, Kopa Narasimha, Yoga Narasimha, Aghora Narasimha, Sudarshana Narasimha, and Lakshmi Narasimha. Each form is worshipped for specific blessings and protection, showcasing his omnipresence and benevolence.
